The Difference Between Wasting and Saving Money

It can be safely said that most of us waste money from time to time. It could be buying something we don’t need or paying too much for something. These are not the same thing. They have different remedies. You could argue that by not buying the thing we didn’t need we would be saving money but it’s not. It’s choosing to not waste the money on it.

When you go out for the day, do you budget for buying food and drink when you’re out? I used to do that all the time and it ends up costing you a fortune. The truth of the matter is, we’re usually buying things that we have at home or we’re paying through the nose for convenience. It’s cheaper and easier to take your own food with you. There’s a lot to be said to have a packed lunch with you. There is stigma attached to it but why should it matter? Most people are jealous that they’ve not done it. It is exciting living in the moment but spontaneity isn’t always free.

When you buy something, do you ever think about how much something is costing you? More often than not we buy something without ever shopping around and it’s because it’s just easier. It may not sound much but if we’re over spending by 5p and item during a shop, that can soon add up. There is stigma attached to it but why should it matter? Most people are jealous that they’ve not done it.

It simply boils down to the fact that we have certain behaviours becuase we worry too much about what other people will think about us but what people think doesn’t make any difference to us. If we stop caring so much about what people think of us, we’d be happier.
